Painted from a reference photo I took in December 2020, the landscape depicts the beautiful Mount Roland on a crisp Tasmanian summer day.
It was the first time visiting Tasmania, and it’s landscape and natural scenery mesmerised me.
This painting allowed me to execute landscapes using confident and structured brush strokes to create shape and structure, I also played around with composition and perspective to grab a personal impression of the mountain from my reference.
This piece would suit any interior space, hallways and rooms alike. I’m very proud of this artwork as it was definitely a milestone for my progress as an artist and signifies an improvement in my technique and brush control.
