As I a hiked across the Crosscut Saw of Victoria's alpine region, the sun began to set during the last ascent up to the campsite on top of Mount Speculation. The ruggedness of the rock face struck me as beautiful shadows were beginning to be cast across it. After a challenging hike, this view made it all completely worthwhile.
