Artwork Description

During the pandemic, I played a lot of PUBG, a FPS game, with friends. I often paint when spectating. None of us live close by, but we have a bloody great time. Is it after 8pm? Get in
'Discord'. In my monitor, there's a loot drop; in the mirror you can see my joy - or surprise?
Crates are hotly contested. There is another kind of loot drop if you ask the Cockatoos here - bunya
cones! In the foreground is a big nut that the
cockatoos dropped in the garden.

At the end of this painting, I took the bunya cone to the park and the cockatoos demolished it in 10 minutes.

Artist Bio

Artist, illustrator, engineer. Sharing the things I make and living on a beautiful mountain. 🎨

I love painting in different styles and creating whatever takes my fancy. I like to think you can see my voice in each piece I create. I love making still life, landscape, portraits, woodworking, and colour pencil illustrations

My work has been exhibited all around the world and is held by numerous private collectors. I've had my work featured in publications including Frankie, Little White Lies (UK), Yen, NYLON, Elle Girl (South Korea), as well as countless others. You can find my illustrations on all 10 Aussie covers of the Friday Barnes series by R.A. Spratt.

My experience in illustration includes advertising, children’s book illustration, textile design, editorials, asset creation for an animated TV commercial. Clients include Penguin Random House Australia, Oxfam America, Officeworks, and Saatchi & Saatchi.

I also lived in Germany for years and am fluent in the language and loved visiting museums when I lived there. You can see the influence of my time there in my still life paintings.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Thanks very much for your time and for having a look at my art. :)
