Went on a road trip with a friend of mine to Daylesford and saw this beautiful barn. I couldn't walk away from it. Loved the colour combination and the details. So I took a photo and turned it into an illustration.
Different from the colour portraits (after sketching, it is a process of color experiments. I aim to combine the colours to carry emotions and express feelings and i would not know where I would end up until the painting is completed and dry. ) However, drawing houses requires a level of accuracy, so I measure and calculate while sketching, then colour it and add details. It is a process with more certainty and I almost feel relaxed because I feel I have a great level of control to the process.
