A few of my works are thoughts about our belief systems. What is within our own power and control and when, and to whom or what, do we willingly delegate that control to?
Do we have recognition of a controlling superpower?
A time of critical mass in a person's life may provoke the moment where it and man may inescapably intersect. At this time, even a non believer calls to a higher power for guidance or rescue of his spiritual, physical or emotional self , the point when we surrender ourselves to fete/destiny, God - an external power that now dictates the ultimate outcome.
If resolution is found, it is in the divine grace of that power that answers and points the way.
Hence," Only drowning men (could see him)."
The work - Archival lightfast pen and ink. This is a very large work for pen and ink medium, 99x64mm, executed with 0.005 – 0.1 mm black and coloured ink pens. It is labour intensive therefore not produced quickly as it involves multiple layers over every mm of the surface to refine and achieve the desired tones and grading, particularly when working on a textured watercolour paper as my works do.
Framing - This work is framed and ready to hang. Framing protects the work whilst in transit and you can enjoy it on the wall as soon as it arrives.
Framed in museum quality 100% cotton rag matte board, square profile timber frame (considered museum framing by high end galleries), and glass.
Décor is varied and personal. The external timber frame can be changed by a professional framer to suit your taste and space should you desire to.
