She was born in East Java, Indonesia. Her family has art potential in the blood, her parents were a good mucisians, and several of her brothers and sisters have dual talents in creative drawing skills as well as music.
Since leaving school she has worked in various industries, from education to survey companies and advertising.
When she came to Noosa in 2002, , she had nothing but rudimentary ideas about painting and drawing, she just played Tennis and golf. She has always appreciated the visual arts, visiting galleries, whenever she goes abroad and has been lucky enough to have been to some of the worldโs greatest art galleries. But to be able to draw, no way.
Only more than 15years ago when she was unable to walk or play her tennis or any other sport for 3 months due to a back injury, a girl friend suggested that she should take up painting. So she started painting in water colour at home using a book she borrowed from a good friend. Since her first attempt she has learned a lot by joining workshops with Jenni Herde, Jenny Kelly, John Newman , Froyle Neideck, etc
So in away she is a self-taught artist and her works inspired by the visual arts experienced on her travels. Her works have been displayed in many of the coastal galleries including Wallace House, Banana Shed and Butter Factory Cooroy. She has been joining Noosa Open Studio for 8 years and sold more than 20 paintings. She paints in any medium.
