My body of work represents anything pleasing to me in particular Australian flora, fauna and landscapes. My inspirations have been drawn from the colours of the remote places in which I have lived, being Far North Queensland, Groote Eylandt - Northern Territory and Tom Price Western Australia.
Most of my formative years were spent painting along side my father, memories I cherish and reflect on as I paint today. I have had many years of private art tuition but working and family took priority and I didn’t pick up a brush again until my husband and I were living in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and our 4 boys were grown up.
In 2005 I joined and cofounded Pilbara Artists Coming Together ( PACT) and curated the Pilbara Unlimited Art Exhibitions for the next 10 years.
My preference is to use acrylic on stretched canvas but I am now experimenting with oils, pastels, inks and water colours, as the artist mood demands.
