Kookaburras are magnificent birds and the largest of the kingfishers. I enjoy painting them and always feel inspired by their visits to our garden.

The Kookaburra has an ancient symbolism that has been used for thousands of years by Indigenous Australians, representing strength, courage, freedom, family, intelligence, and protection. It is also seen as a sign of luck and prosperity, with its distinctive call said to bring rain, wealth, luck, and the return of lost souls to their families.

This cutie will steal the limelight on any wall.
