About

I am a country girl stuck in the Big Smoke. I was a Commercial Artist for many years before computers took over the world. I started exhibiting my work in 1994 in Regional Exhibitions and won many awards before moving to Sydney in 1999. Since then my works have been well received by both Judges and the Public, having won 27 “People’s Choice” Awards as well as numerous other awards.
My works are realist with a Contemporary edge capturing the spirit of life in the Aussie Bush and Outback. I am inspired by anything and everything to do with life on the land. I want to connect others with nostalgic stories of the land, it’s people, fauna, flora and history.
I spend as much time as possible in the bush, gathering reference material and soaking up the atmosphere and breathing the fresh clean air, but I prefer to work in my studio. I use mostly acrylic on canvas and paper but I also love working in charcoal, graphite & pastel.
