Artwork Description

Black & White Cows grazing peacefully in a field, along with Gus the Farmyard Gander.

In reality, this artwork is one of my Phenomenon (private) collection that l am releasing for sale on this online platform. I’ve included 2 photos revealing 2 of the ‘hidden’ cows .

The full bodied cartoon cow in the ‘detail’ photo has the head & neck of Gus the Gander showing to the right of her. That little cow is one of the phenomenon l noticed amongst the black & white blobby patches & shapes that l’d randomly put on the canvas surface. Her cartoon ‘cow shape’ was there already. That’s what it looked like to me…so l simply added in her eyes, her ears, her nostrils & the 2 little lines along her stumpy little ‘legs’.
Gus, the Gander was also already in place!!
I just gave him an eye & a few lines to show his beak line/ some markings.
The other cow faces l likewise added cartoon eyes & nostrils, & sometimes one or both ears.
There are a few other blobby collections l could have stylised but l think 9 cows & a goose is enough! 😄

The very large, abstract shaped bovine head that can be seen from aerial view/ at a distance when the canvas is hanging on the wall (see the ‘in Situ’ photo & you may be able to spot it quickly) is comprised of many different black shapes coming together. Sometimes people see things/ characters in my paintings that l haven’t noticed before, or l spot some that l hadn’t ‘recognised’ before, so you may make a new discovery all your own! 😊

Apart from the 2 cows identified for you in the photos, there are six smaller bovines & the very large aerial view cow’s head left for the viewer to find.

‘Cartoon Cows - Hide & Seek’ is varnish sealed for durability & longevity & ready for display anywhere you choose to put it on show.😊
Might give visitors & friends something to do while you make the coffee…

It’s a fun talking point for sure!😄

Artist Bio

Hi there,
Welcome to my page & Thank you for visiting.😊
I hope you enjoy your time here….& that my art expressions touch your soul, your imagination, your heart. l am an instinctive, intuitive artist who paints, draws & creates when l feel to, when the sparks of interest & imagination flare…& my artworks develop from there. I am never sure exactly what will transpire, with additions & tweaks & inspirational changes along the way until the final outcome arrives. This is the beauty of a sense of adventure…& even then, l often return to add more. 😊
Know that each piece has been developed with passion, purpose & focused attention to detail, checked, rechecked & finally released in the hope that these visual expressions will connect with (find) their appreciative new owners😌

Regarding Art, l’ve always been creative.
As a teenager, l handmade & sold my own range of decorative, household ornaments.
I also designed, hand moulded, hand dyed, glued, painted & assembled very large string puppets, large novelty toys & figurines that were very popular.
For quite some time now, drawing, designing, painting & creating my own art pieces has been an absolute passion & joy. I love experimenting & discovering new ways of applying acrylics, watercolours, oil paints, inks & other substances to canvas, paper, wood, fabric, ceramics etc to get different effects. l have also had a myriad of opportunities & the pleasure of instructing, teaching, demonstrating & working alongside others in the educational art sphere for many years & l am grateful for this because l truly consider Artistic Expression to be a wonderful part of the flavour of life.
My own home is fully arrayed, not only with a plethora of my own creations but with the work of other artists too; so there is always a beautiful collection of interesting & eclectic items on display.

It is my hope that as you look through my art portfolio you will find something that pleases & inspires you too.

Sincerely,
Linda Stephanie LSE
