Growing up in the Upper Hunter Valley with a fascination for Australian landscape began my creative career. The exposure to the sights, sounds, light and texture of the countryside inspired me at a very young age.
I studied art for the HSC and joined a local art group headed by Max Watters, who encouraged me to develop my landscape style. During this time I was awarded the Muswellbrook TA Cook prize and several other local show awards.
Realising a desire to work in a creative field, I ventured to Sydney where I gained a diploma in graphic design. I took up residence as a designer in a boutique art studio before branching out to start my own corporate design business.
Fast forward 25 years and I have made the decision to trade the corporate design world to rediscover my love of art.
In 2020 I joined a local art group at the Waverley Woollahra Art school guided by Yaeli Ohana who has provided direction on abstraction landscape. I have worked on developing my style and mark making techniques using different mediums but especially working in oils.
