I always like to have fresh flowers in the house, but found it hard to get 'natives' locally. In my online quest I discovered a beautiful flower farm in Tasmania, which makes native wedding bouquets. This painting is based on a photo, used with permission, from Swallows Nest Farm.
The painting uses hints of texture throughout to give it life, so that it is not completely flat.
This painting won first prize at the Bunbury Art Show 2019.
