I picked up the brush and pencils to work full time as an artist after I retired from paid work in mid 2020. I've done many short courses in painting, drawing and watercolour, including courses at Adelaide Central School of Art, Splashout Studios, and earlier through Alexander Mackie School of Art (in Sydney in the 80's). I also paint on shoes, knit, sew and make beads and buttons from polymer clay. I enjoy art that helps us love, laugh and learn.
I have a beautiful studio at home in the Adelaide hills, where I live with my husband Steve, and kelpie dog Amie. I am an "emerging artist", even at 60, and I am just starting to work on a portfolio of drawings for the Bluethumb site. I tend to enter paintings in local exhibits here in Adelaide, and also sell paintings via my website - so there are no paintings for sale here.
