Artwork Description

Dimensions shown are for each piece.

The abstract diptych contrasts warm earth tones and a bold, golden sun-like sphere.

Includes wooden shadow frame, as pictured.

The pieces explore themes natural elements - the ochre and umber hues evoke an earthy, grounded quality on the left, while the right painting bursts with radiant solar energy.

The juxtaposition of the two pieces seeks to create an engaging visual dialogue, drawing the eye between the solid, textural brushwork and the luminous orb floating against a light background. The horizontal red streak in the right painting adds vitality and dynamism.

Hung together, the diptych brings a sense of balance and complementary opposition. The paintings' abstraction allows for open interpretation, inviting the viewer to meditate on the elemental qualities and energies they evoke.

Artist Bio

Growing up in Sydney, Australia, Lisa developed a deep connection to her coastal environment, even spending time as a lifesaver at the famous Bondi beach. That coastal connection is evident in much of her work - through colour, composition and flow.

The artist's love of animals and her connected environment are also regular influences on her creative process, which is fiercely rooted in curiosity and experimentation

As a natural out working of that curiosity, Lisa’s portfolio showcases a versatile approach, from abstract compositions, to sculptures, to detailed ink work.
She finds joy in exploring different techniques and subject matter, allowing her artwork to evolve and reflect her diverse interests.

While maintaining a career in financial services, Lisa passionately pursues her artistic endeavours as a creative outlet, and for balance.
