Daydreams

This work takes me away to a place of happiness and contentment where you can dream the day away. The use of bright bold colours remind me of good things and brighter days ahead. I like to evoke a sense of joy through my work and this one definitely does that for me. The use of layers upon layers creates a very textural piece and the different directions of the paint portrays all the exciting directions you can take in your life.

This year has seen me channelling my creative urges in order to produce unique work that evokes a strong emotion. Happiness is my theme and being creative is what makes me happy. This is what I try to convey through my work. I like to use bright, bold colours to evoke emotion and give the work a dynamic feel which will create high impact hung on a wall.

Ever since I can remember I have loved art and anything to do with it. I am a creative soul and that’s all I have ever wanted to do. I majored from college in art and design and from there went on to study graphic design. My desire and passion I have for painting has prompted me to focus on what I really want to do in my life. This year i have focused on the theme of new beginnings, and a major influence seen in my works is exploring botanicals in an abstract kind of way.
