Symphony of Silhouettes

Two black cockatoos land, head to head,
Thoughts connected, their wings spread.
Surrounded by the native wildflowers,
Warratah and wattle, in nature's bowers.

Textured leaves, they nestle with care,
A special bond, an unsaid song in the air.
Love surrounds them, a gentle embrace,
A symphony of silhouettes, a tranquil place.

Painted on deep edge stretched canvas with matching painted light green sides, signed and ready to hang.

I am an artist based in Wollongong, NSW, I grew up here between the mountains and the sea. My passion lies in painting with bright and bold colours, Australian native animals, especially birds make up a lot of my inspiration, though I also like to explore flora and still life subjects. I like to accentuate the hints of colour I see within my subject matter. I love painting with a palette knife and I use mainly acrylic paints on stetched canvas.

I love to add texture to the canvas with deliberate strokes that give the subject matter definition without it always being obvious. I am a full time artist working from my home studio on the South Coast. I find great inspiration from daily beach and bush walks and I can't imagine a life where I was not able to be creative everyday, and I feel truley blessed to be on this journey.
