My studio is set in 15 acres of bushland in Dereel, South of Ballarat. The bushland colours and textures are central to my work. My visual art begins with photographs of the bush surrounding me. Wildflowers are a passion, and find their way into my fabric designs, scarves and digital art. I paint with acrylics, and currently Iโm exploring abstract works.
Colour and texture bring me joy. In my abstract works I want to feel the texture with my fingertips, and experience the light and shade of the colours. Abstract landscapes evolve from an intuitive practice.
Watercolour and printmaking are also mediums I enjoy.
