I love grevillias, they're such messy, sculptural, brilliantly coloured flowers. This bee obviously thought they're fabulous too!
It's painted larger than life to get the full impact of the colours and textures, both of the flower and the bee itself. Despite this, it's a small work, only 30 centimetres square, so it would suit a space where you can get close enough to see the details.
