Artwork Description

The rich volcanic soils between Ballarat and Daylesford is one of my favourite places. The clusters of volcanoes dominate the landscape. The minerals in the soil support significant agriculture. The fertility of this area is highlighted by the aerial oblique landscape that is proposed to host transmission lines that will forever change the agricultural landscape.

By abstracting physical reality, applying thematic colouring to highlight layers within the landscape the viewer is challenged to think about significance and is there continuity and dissonance over time?
