Artwork Description

I love the perspective that an aerial oblique view gives to a landscape. The wetlands around Willaura give interest to the foreground and lead to the mountains on the skyline. This work was awarded first place in abstract at the Daylesford Show.

Artist Bio

Landscape painter using her experience as a Heritage Planner and professional skills in cartography, plan interpretation and identification of significance to depict the cultural layers of well-known landscapes.
By abstracting physical reality, applying thematic colouring to highlight layers within the landscape the viewer is challenged to think about significance and is there continuity and dissonance over time?
