Artwork Description

This is a painting of all the tali (sandhills) around the community of Tjukurla. It's big, beautiful, flat country, lots of different things out there. There's really long tali out near the salt lake. This painting is about all that big country out there around Tjukurla.

Artist Bio

Lisa lives in the Tjukurla Community and enjoys painting the stories told to her in travels across the country with her mother. She has extensive knowledge of the many sacred sites in the region. When Lisa was school-aged, her nanny taught her to paint wth brushes in Tjukurla. Later, she learnt the to us punu in the style of dot painting at Tjarlirli.
