This painting was made from a reference photo I took whilst walking at Cronulla one beautiful sunny January morning. This spot is between Cronulla and Shelly Park in Sydney's Sutherland Shire.

The sun was shining bright, creating interesting shadows and great contrast with the darkness of the tree trunk highlighting the brightness of the sand and ocean behind it. There was actually a woman on the bench in the original photo but I chose not to include her to keep the scene inviting, beckoning the viewer to go and enjoy this place to be.

A Place To Be would look great on it's own or as part of a salon hang. It's bright and cheerful and guaranteed to liven any space!

The painting is 80x60cm and comes with a certificate of authenticity.  It is framed in raw oak and ready to hang.
