People often question the inspiration for abstract art. My art expresses the inexplicable. These are things I couldn't possibly put into words. The beauty of the abstract is that the interpretation is left to the viewer! I also have a passion & high sensitivity to colour. My love of colour, depth & experimentation is evident everywhere in my art. Another love of mine is texture [another representation of depth really]. This is on display in many paintings. I explore with collage & mixed media which create this. Art has always been a deeply ingrained passion of mine. I didn't start 'seriously' expressing it until more recently however [2019].
On a More Personal Note:
I am Australian & loving it!! I was born in the beautiful, coastal city of Perth, West Australia. As my parents parted ways when I was young, I spent my life crossing from Perth to the more cosmopolitan east. I have a strong Christian faith, which basically directs my art. I also spent many years in NGOs where I developed a love of different cultures. This is enhanced by the fact that Australia is multi-cultural, yet doesn't really have an ingrained culture of our own. SO interesting.. fascinating!! The fact that I grew up with a diagnosis of epilepsy also caused my love of art to strengthen
My main purpose in life is to make a relationship with Jesus available to all. Such joy!! How my art helps with this, is yet to be seen! Simply having a purpose in life is essential!
