Lisa has the pleasure of walking regularly around the Peel estuary and enthusiastically takeing photos of the estuarine wildlife. From these experiences she crafts and creates a variety of semi abstract landscape scenes with quirky wildlife. The Pelican series has been developed from many hours of watching the pelicans preening, sleeping and feeding on the estuary. A variety of new techniques and processes has seen Lisa develop a new field of quirky wildlife characters. These have been a new development in Lisa`s abstract environmental paintings that has led to a new direction of interest and intrigue. Studying the formation of birdlife and dolphins Lisa has developed a love of presenting all thing environmental. This new adventure of abstract wildlife paintings has birthed a new direction in Lisa`s art practise. Creating new adventures, develops new skills and techniques that can be applied with old ones to craft new experimental art pieces.
Lisa has birthed a strong & unique brand she has entitled “Abstract Earth Art.” Her self-developed mixed medium style involves experimental paint pouring‚ multiple textured layering and brush & palette knife techniques. Inspired by the magnificence of Australia’s landscape and nature in all its realms of space‚ shape‚ and detail‚ Lisa deploys a variety of mediums such as resin‚ textured plasters‚ modeling paste‚ acrylics‚ canvas & to complete her artworks.
