Liz Busenshut has a colourful, expressive style, demonstrating her love and protection of nature. Her artwork stimulates the senses with vivid hues, abstracted lines, texture and upcycled plastics. Variety and playing with materials and medium keeps her art fresh. She focuses on nature, biophilic art (ie. eco art or emphasising human connection with nature), landscape, still life, abstract art, photography and more recently, 2D digital artwork of her original artworks and photographs.
Liz has exhibited and sold her art since being a teenager. Mainly self-taught, she has also trained under Australian artist, Robyn Collier and internationally-recognised American artist, Amira Rahim.
She enjoys teaching art in the local cafe, offering art to the local women's shed, exhibiting her work, collaborating with and helping local interior designers and is currently taking commissions. Her artworks are included in private collections in Australia, USA and Switzerland.
Liz believes that "artists risk challenging themselves, over and over".
