This oil painting on stretched canvas depicts vibrant red flowering gum nuts in full bloom. Their rich and warm colours are exploding like fireworks and create such a lush contrast with the green background. The brushstrokes create depth, giving the flowers a lively, almost three-dimensional quality. As an added focus, I particulary like the gum flower that is past its prime and the new nut that is ready to burst forth with added colour. These lively little firewocrks of colour evoke a sense of excitment and the natural beauty of the Australian bush.
This painting has been given a light spray of vanish to proctect the paint and comes in a pine wooden frame which is ready to hang.
