Artwork Description

Bring positive energy into your special space with 'METAMORPHOSIS' a captivating original resin painting.

My background in jewellery design and manufacturing has influenced my approach to creating art, assembling each painting piece by piece to construct the final work. Artworks are painstakingly created over a number of weeks using a process that cannot be rushed due to the nature of working with resin; each layer must be fully cured before the next layer is applied. Epoxy resin is poured onto an acrylic base which is manipulated to build up those many transparent layers which interact with light and with each other to create the final visual experience.

My creative process is a slow and mindful one where I am very much in the present moment. I encourage people to adopt that same mindful, meditative state when viewing my artwork, taking in the present moment and allowing the transparent forms to have a calming effect on their mind, body and soul.

Professionally framed. Measures 94 cm wide x 132 cm high including frame.

Artist Bio

Hi, I’m Liz Rose, an Australian artist best known for creating distinct, multilayered resin paintings. My creative journey was the same as many others, as a child I loved to create, pouring over well-worn arts and crafts books dreaming up what I could make.

As I grew up, all through my busy life and corporate career the creative arts still beckoned, and I continued to dream of my days being filled with art and design and of owing a studio of my own. I now work from my Sydney Design Studio and try to paint each day.
