Untitled triptych

This original untitled piece comprised of three smaller canvases (30 x 30 x 4 cm), designed to by hung together. The nature of each individual canvas means they can be hung in any order, any arrangement, horizontal, vertical or diagonally.

The work uses a mix of prussian blue, cobalt blue, white and cadmium red, applied with a pallet knife and paint brush creating a unique intricate pattern within the thickly applied and textured paint.

This piece was composed following my ocean works, seeking consider and explore the impact of colour - here how a subtle change in substituting a single colour can alter the entire subject matter of a work.

This piece is perfect for a bedroom, bathroom, dining room, office, hallway, entry. Its versatility in hanging makes it a perfect addition to narrow or non-standard wall spaces that need colour and a point of interest.

Each canvas is signed on the side and has a signed stamp of authenticity on the back of the canvas. Each canvas is varnished and strung with cord, ready for immediate hanging.

The sides of the work are painted to enable immediate hanging, framing is available via Bluethumb or seperate framing (for agreed additional fee based on requirements) can be arranged.

I am a Western Australian artist. My work can be considered expressionist and at times abstract, it can be bright, intense, dark - but always heavily textured.

My paintings explore and use the materiality of oil paint to capture moments and experiences, nature, sensations and memories - children/pets playing, leaves falling, oceans heaving, coral dancing, sandcastles falling, anxiety, peace and joy.

My processes and techniques use the texture of oil paint, carefully placed and layered with pallet knives and brushes to create the illusion of movement, space and a three dimensionality to evoke feelings and visceral connections of being present in a moment, experience or sensation.

While I primarily work in oil paints I do also enjoy playing with other mediums, particularly charcoal and oil pastels, creating playful works of my children’s leftover fruit – waste not want not!

While I am openly still developing and mastering my processes while completing my studies at Curtin University (OUA) and commence a professional artistic practice, I have been fortunate in selling commissioned artworks, exhibiting in Western Australia and selling work throughout Australia.
