Thanks for visiting my site! I'm an illustrator/artist/maker based in Melbourne. I completed the NMIT Diploma of Illustration in 2010 . I had work included in several student shows during the two years I was studying for the Diploma and was awarded the Best Use of Traditional Media award at our graduate show. In 2013 I held a solo exhibition of digital images, Rude Shoes, at the Kreisler Gallery in Brunswick.
I've tried all sorts of artistic techniques. As well as drawing and painting I create the occasional cartoon, a couple were published in the MCV magazine in 2008 and in 2010 the Victorian Women's Centre published a calendar of my feminist cartoons.
I enjoy creating fashion illustrations and in the past have created images for a Melbourne Fashion Week initiative.
My last two paintings came about as a result of missing New Zealand (my home country) during Melbourne's lockdown. Will pop them up here shortly.
Most recently I've provided illustrations for two Australian histories, The Women of Little Lon and Madame Brussels, both by Barbara Minchinton, published in 2021 and 2024 respectively.
Lately I've been enjoying working with mosaic and collage. There's always something on the go! So little time, so much art to make.
I have also worked as an arts journalist: here's a link to a video interview I did with artist Geoff Ricardo at the Melbourne Art Fair in 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nXo_d24Q8M
Like they say, watch this space. More soon.
