A style of her own that is often described as 'grungy', Lizzy works across multiple mediums exploring emotions and energy through figurative subjects, botanicals, abstracts and mark making. Leaning into charcoals and oil paints, although quite contrasting, both allow for freedom and expression on the chosen surface.
As a young child, Lizzy recalls admiring her grandmother’s artworks hanging proudly in their home in New Zealand. The art journey continued through high school and onto commencing a Bachelor of Fine Art in 2010. Lizzy continues to work on her skills and refine her craft each week through life drawing and studio mentoring.
Lizzy's ultimate goal is to share her work with the world, to hang in personal and professional spaces and to spark conversation and entice connection.
Based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Lizzy navigates her art practice around work and family life.
