Artwork Description

Having had a career on the Murray River in tourism, I continue to enjoy getting back there whenever I can. The majestic Walker Flat cliffs in the afternoon sun are really something to see. I used a photograph I took one evening as a reference for this painting.

In 2008 my wife Catherine and I moved to the Sunshine Coast hinterland for a tree change. It certainly was. We loved it and I guess the change incorporated a new recognition of the ocean, the landscape and nature itself.
When Covid struck I picked up some brushes for the first time and started to paint. I loved everything about it. Thank goodness I discovered this fabulous pastime. My favourite medium has been acrylics, and I enjoy painting landscapes, seascapes, animals, flowers and more.
I can’t wait to see what artistic challenges await!
