Where Light Begins to Bloom is a luminous triptych that celebrates growth, hope, and the quiet reaching of the soul toward something greater.
Delicate floral forms rise across three connected panels, flowing through layers of glowing colour — blush pinks, warm golds, soft whites and deep cosmic blues — creating a sense of upward movement and gentle transformation. The flowers feel suspended between earth and sky, as though they are both rooted and weightless, blooming into light.
Painted intuitively, this work carries a feeling of renewal and wonder. Expressive lines and layered textures suggest energy moving through the surface, while soft petals and glowing centres offer moments of tenderness and joy. There is a dreamlike quality here — a place where nature and imagination meet.
Working in layered mixed media, i have incorporated hand-torn collage elements directly into the surface of the painting. The flower buds are not merely painted — they are physically collaged onto the canvas, creating subtle dimensional relief that catches the light and adds tactile depth. This interplay between painted gesture and applied material brings the flowers forward from the surface, giving the triptych a quiet sculptural presence.
Each panel has been painted on a bespoke, handmade stretcher, with the canvases constructed and stretched by myself. This gives the work a unique, tactile presence and ensures that every element — from frame to surface — carries the artist’s hand.
This piece is presented as a triptych, with three connected works that together create a single flowing composition.
Each panel measures 55 cm W x 122.5 cm H x 4.5 cm D.
The sides of each work have been painted to match the front, allowing them to be displayed without framing, and all are ready to hang.
Together, the three panels form a powerful visual statement — bringing a sense of optimism, light and elevation into a space.
