Part of an ongoing series entitled "Crush" this painting depicts the classic American candy "Milk Duds" in my usual crumpled style.

My work taps into feelings of nostalgia brought about by food and beverage, and takes the viewer back to childhood memories. Milk bars or Dairy's (if you're a kiwi like myself), movie nights and family holidays as kids.

Created with the use of 10 hand cut stencil layers, the creation of this painting, like all of my work is incredibly time consuming, this one I would estimate involved around 55-60 hours of cutting time.
