Ode to RD, Coffee

I was inspired to paint women in a figurative way and have always admired Richard Diebenkorn's amazing paintings and could not resist learning more by doing his 'Coffee', being a lover of coffee myself.

I am inspired most by the light and colours in a landscape that captures me on my daily walk or kayak around the lower north shore in Sydney where I live.
In my paintings I aim to abstract the colours and shapes to highlight a mood and give some simplicity or energy for the viewer to enjoy.
