This painting is part of a new series created after a major shift in my creative practice earlier this year. Living on the coast in Australia, summer can bring east coast lows which result in thunderstorms and heavy rains that deluge the landscape. This painting unfolds in moody, layered colour, where deep atmospheric tones meet fluid turquoise drips and bold gestural marks. The surface shifts between shadow and light, creating a sense of movement and emotional tension. It’s an intuitive, expressive piece that reveals more the longer you sit with it — a quiet storm of colour, depth, and raw energy.
Painted in acrylics on canvas, this painting is unframed but ready to hang.
