I went to the florist and she was very helpful. We picked out some flowers of different shapes, colours, textures and sizes. After the florist did her thing it was brought back to the studio and the painting began. Gotta hurry before the flowers lose their life. The picture was started and the impression was cast in my mind, but not finished until weeks later. So many decisions and adjustments to make a picture something more than the subject you started with.
