Poppies Galore

Starting with soft washes of yellows and reds and letting the pigment mingle and play on the paper, the poppies were then intuitively composed and added working with the marks made from the intial wash.
Life always needs colour, this beautiful bright collection of Poppies will give any wall all the colour it needs.

Lorraine Brown has always felt a connection with the art of watercolour. The mediums ability to create unique and unexpected results, its risk and surprise, were special and attractive qualities to the artist; who found risk and surprise at every turn in her creative and professional life.
