Artwork Description

Highly textured original painting that comes stretched and ready to hang and with a Certificate of Authenticity. Painting also comes signed on the back and the front. Painting depicts an idealogical image of what the artist wanted Violet Town (Vic) to be like growing up (where she spent a significant amount of time in her teenage years). Painting comes unframed. Images showing painting framed are for mock up purposes only to give the viewer an idea of what it would look like in a shadow box frame in Oak.

Clarendon Fine Art (UK) who represent Lou in the UK write: "Lou Sheldon, an accomplished Australian artist, is celebrated for her intuitive approach to landscape painting. Eschewing rigid structure, her works are infused with movement and energy, blending oils, oil pastels, and occasionally gold leaf to create pieces that are both painterly and impactful. Her art bridges the gap between abstraction and impressionism, offering a unique perspective on the beauty of the natural world."

Artist comments: "Painting is second nature to me. Rather than it being a thing I do, it is a place I go. Like a pair of old slippers, once the brush is in my hand it feels like home. It is as familiar as breathing. Knowing I am keeping the memory, name and talent of my dad, Robin Arthur Sheldon (23.01.44-21.04.83) alive makes it all the more enjoyable, meaningful & worthwhile."
