Lucia is a Brisbane-based abstract artist and mum, originally from Slovakia. After living in the UK for 10 years, she followed the sunshine and settled in Brisbane with her family.
Passionate about art from a young age, Lucia began with the simplicity of pencil sketching before discovering the expressive freedom of abstract painting later in life. For Lucia, painting is more than creating an artwork — it is a form of meditation, relaxation and emotional expression.
Working intuitively, Lucia allows her emotions and senses to guide the creative process. Rather than starting with a predetermined outcome, she lets each painting evolve through colour, texture, movement and instinct. Her vibrant, expressive works are often inspired by nature, with a particular fascination for the ocean and sea.
