Artwork Description

This piece was inspired by the nature of our journey in life. In today’s fast-paced world, we’re often pulled in so many directions. It’s easy to get lost in someone else’s life or our own habitual behaviours. But then, something unexpected happens, and we’re reminded of our true selves. We reconnect with the deep sense of belonging that we all have within us. And those little moments of self-discovery are the treasures we find along the way.

This artwork is made on a high-quality birch wood panel that has been sealed with acrylic gesso to make it extra durable. Some parts of the painting have collaged paper in them, which gives it great structural effects. If you take a closer look, you’ll spot some tiny bits of gold paint and coloured pencil marks.

Artist Bio

I am a mixed media artist living in Cairns, Australia.

I was born in the Czech Republic and moved to Australia to live with my husband. We lived in Byron Bay, Sydney, Brisbane, and our love for the tropics led us to Cairns. I’ve spent years studying, traveling the world, and working as a life coach. My own journey has always been about finding (inner) freedom. I grew up in a culture that didn’t resonate with me, and there was no space for creativity. Only when I started to travel and open my mind my creativity could flourish. Today, Australia is my home. I’m inspired by its vastness, nature, and people.

I have studied visual arts in Hawaii with a fine artist Stephanie Britt and in 2022 pursued further fine art studies with the Creative Visionary Program for 2 years, led by artist Nicolas Wilton.

My art is inspired by our life journey and transformation. I am capturing precious and meaningful moments. Sometimes coming from my experiences, and sometimes from stories that deeply touched me. Hey there! Some of my paintings are inspired by our connection to nature and the unique blend of human presence in the wild nature. This visual difference exits me.

When I create my art, I’m motivated by the unknown. There is a deep sense of satisfaction that comes from trusting the process and letting it unfold. I start with play and experimentation, capturing what feels right and resonates with me emotionally in the moment. I am guided by what emerges naturally in front of me. I allow my artwork to evolve without a predetermined direction and to tell the story that needs to be expressed. I am always curating the artwork as I go, making decisions about what works and what doesn’t and adjusting it. This process gives me creative freedom, excites me and enables me to stay present in the moment.

My work has different layers that express diverse experiences, memories, emotions, and stories. They symbolise the richness of life and the complexity of our experiences.

I’m drawn to the contrast in my work—how differences relate, coexist, and create harmony. My paintings capture movement and stillness, wild intensity and peaceful calm, reflecting life’s perpetual change. Colour is essential, reflecting differences, memories, richness, and hidden treasures within us.

Since 2025, I’ve been offering art workshops to help others unleash their creativity. I invite you to join me on this journey! You can connect with me on Bluethumb and Instagram.
