Twilight Tones by Lucinda Leveille is part of the series from 'Above The Canopy".
Working with the beautiful trees and the cloud combination in vibrant colour palettes is my idea of painter's heaven! This particular piece was inspired by that gorgeous violet as the sun disappears behind the horizon and the evening twilight colours envelope the world.
Since the view from my studio window has changed to focus on my single lone gum tree, I’ve become fixated on this image - from moonlit nights to stormy days I love painting these scenes with all their different faces.
The series "Above The Canopy" has developed from the new view from my studio window where all the trees have been cut down (it’s ok they were a pest) what was left was one lone spindly gum tree - when you look out above the tree canopy there are always a few brave souls who strive to rise above the others. The new colour palette that is appearing in the pieces is taken from the intense colours of the Australian landscape - from the pink salt lakes to the green oceans. I'm beginning to build a world above - I keep imagining the view from above the tree tops - I think it must be a magical world.

The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and painted round the edges, they also come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork .
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, I am still losing the war with the tape machine so the package may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
