Born in Saint Petersburg, Russia’s cultural capital, Lucy grew up surrounded by grand architecture, museums, and fine art, though she did not begin creating art until her mid-thirties.
Already living in Australia, she began her artistic journey with the fundamentals of drawing. Pencil and charcoal became her preferred tools for expressing mood and capturing subtle emotion, until she discovered pastel. “I didn’t choose pastel — pastel chose me,” she reflects. Its delicate lightness and expressive color quickly became central to her work.
Now based in Noosa, she draws inspiration from the serene coastal landscape, soft light, and peaceful atmosphere of the region. Working across still life, landscapes, and interiors, she creates pieces that invite the viewer to pause, reflect, and feel.
Through soft color and gentle light, she captures not just what is seen — but what is felt.
