Midas Consumed, is what I would call the interpretation of my mind at the time of when the painting was done. It represents not only chaos, beauty and consumption but it also represents me, the artist.
At the time of painting this artwork I was consumed by fallacies of riches in my thoughts. Every day was consumption of being a better, richer person and the chaos that was intertwined within. This artwork for me is very personal and has a lot of meaning behind it.
It was a means of expression and release of thoughts that I could express freely over the canvas and use a medium to engage these thoughts with.
The artwork was created from a mixture of different acrylic paints, some old and some new. It was a mixture of all that I had at the time when I needed to express. This is my first entry to the world of art.
This is my very first piece of art that I have ever created and holds a place dearly in my heart, I am proud of it and it holds and resonates a chaotic but beautiful emotion within the canvas. This piece makes any room feel more complex and intriguing and it has definitely sparked some great conversations with friends and family.
