This painting was inspired by a trip to Western Australia, where I would often spend evenings strolling along the beach and admiring the beautifully colourful sunsets along the horizon of the Indian Ocean. Cottesloe Beach was one of my favourite spots to visit, hence the depiction of the spectacular Cottesloe Pavilion.
