The drawing is influenced by the German artist Joseph Beuys. Chthonian refers to from the bowels of the earth. It was made during. studio residency at the Big Ci in the Blue Mountains in Australia in 2021.
I have been making art for over twenty years. I studied a masters degree in sculpture and installation art at College of fine Arts in the late nineties. Now‚ I make drawings and books of drawings. My exhibitions have included‚\" Sculpture by the Sea\" in 1998 and \" Glow-Bytes\" video night at Performance Space in 1999.More recently I exhibited drawings at Collingwood Gallery in 2012.
My art is now a cross between illustration and contemporary drawing.
