Artwork Description

This large drawing is inspired by the idea of the chthonian element in nature. I first encountered the idea of the chthonian while at art school and read a mini penguin classic excerpt of Sexual Personae by Camille Paglia. In the drawing are five naked male figures inside mounds of earth and in the background are Batman masked faces drawn with artline pen in repetition.

I have been making art for over twenty years. I studied a masters degree in sculpture and installation art at College of fine Arts in the late nineties. Now‚ I make drawings and books of drawings. My exhibitions have included‚\" Sculpture by the Sea\" in 1998 and \" Glow-Bytes\" video night at Performance Space in 1999.More recently I exhibited drawings at Collingwood Gallery in 2012.

My art is now a cross between illustration and contemporary drawing.
