Banksia Cone. An iconic Australian plant - this particular species is Banksia menziesii. It's natural range is in WA, from the Perth region and north to the Murchison River, where it grows on sandy soils.

There is a graduation in tone in this work that has been created through multiple applications of aquatint and sugarlift.

Etching with aquatint - Charbonnel Ink on BFK 280gsm paper. BFK is mould produced in France and made of 100% cotton. The impression was hand-pulled, and this is the first edition made from the aluminium plate.
