Artwork Description

Mixed Media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

This artwork comes with an external frame

This view of the Coorong was painted from memory. While the landscape features are semi-abstract it is based on the view from the top paddock at Gemini Downs (a farm to the north of Salt Creek) . A salt lake or back water is bordered by Melaluca halmaturorum (South Australian Swamp Paperbark) and in the foreground pussy tail seed heads move in the wind.

Frilly deep pinky red and white flowers with an abstract apricot and ochre background. Six turquoise green fish swimming in a school beneath the sea. A gum tree on the hill made up of vibrant hot pink and orange brush strokes. A delicate small Australian bush bird emerging from a hollow in a euclaypt trunk.
