Noonie Rocks are a part of the Wooderarrung River Bed in Mullewa. This is an ancient riverbed that was Glacial eons ago. The idea of painting this in a very soft impressionistic way, plays against what is a very hard and unforgiving landscape.
I grew up in Perth, Western Australia, and for as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to drawing. For me, the foundation of all my artworks is based on the premise of a sound drawing. I feel it is like the superstructure that holds the whole thing together and I know within my work that if it is not there the piece just doesn't stand up.
