Hello I'm Lyn Stephenson. I live in Melbourne, although I was born in England and have lived in South Africa for many years before settling in Australia.
I would describe myself as an artist, because I'm someone who lives with a continuous urge to create. My work has changed and evolved over the years, lately becoming more abstract, which I find gives me the freedom to express myself without limitations. I work in both oils and acrylics and love to experiment with colour and texture. I mostly work intuitively, just allowing shapes and form to emerge as the painting takes on a life of its own.
I really do believe art speaks, in a way that words can't express. My hope and desire is my artwork would draw you in, connect with you in some way and give you a space in your home, to convey what words can't express.
